How to return a second-hand item without paying the postage yourself
Check who pays for the return before you buy, because it is often you. On juunam you have 14 days from the moment the carrier confirms delivery to send anything back for any reason, and we cover return shipping inside the EU; elsewhere we send a prepaid label. You do not have to prove the piece was misdescribed to qualify — changing your mind is enough.
Why this happens
Return postage is where a cheap second-hand purchase quietly becomes an expensive one. Many marketplace policies put the cost on the buyer unless the item is proven "significantly not as described", which is a judgement call made after you have already paid to send it. Reviewers describe returns costing a meaningful fraction of the item's price, and deciding to keep something they did not want because returning it cost more than it was worth.

What to check, wherever you buy
Find the clock's starting point, not just its length
Fourteen days from purchase and fourteen days from delivery are very different windows on a cross-border parcel, where shipping alone can eat a week. The one that protects you starts when the item is in your hands, because that is the first moment you can judge it. Ours runs from confirmed delivery and the policy page says so.
Keep the packaging until you are sure
Most return conditions everywhere require the item back in its original state, and the box is part of that more often than people expect. It costs nothing to keep it for a fortnight and it removes the most common reason a return is refused.
Work out the real total before you commit
Price, plus shipping, plus any protection fee, plus the possible return postage, is what the purchase can actually cost you. On a low-value item the last two can exceed the first. Doing that sum in advance is the single most useful habit in second-hand buying.
Where this stops
Returns need the piece unworn, with original tags and in original condition. And a piece collected in person is final at handover — the window closes at the handshake.
