How to buy second-hand without "good condition" turning out to be a lie
Insist on a published condition grade and real photographs of the actual item, not an adjective. Every piece on juunam is one of one, photographed individually, with its condition grade, materials and dimensions published on the page. If it does not match when it arrives, you have 14 days from confirmed delivery to send it back for any reason, with EU return postage covered.
Why this happens
"Good", "excellent" and "like new" are not defined terms, and different sellers use them to mean genuinely different things in good faith. The gap widens when a listing uses a stock photograph or a single flattering angle, because a second-hand item is by definition unique and a picture of a similar object tells you nothing about this one. Condition not matching the description was one of the most common complaints in the reviews we read.

What to check, wherever you buy
Treat a stock photo as the warning it is
If a second-hand listing is illustrated with a catalogue image, the seller has not photographed the actual object. For one-of-one pieces that is decisive: you cannot assess wear, fading or repair from a picture of something else. Ask for photographs of the real item, and read a refusal as an answer.
Ask about the specific failure modes for that material
Leather cracks at the fold, knitwear pills under the arms, silk waterspots, suede shines where it rubs, zips fail before fabric does. Ask about the part most likely to have gone rather than for a general opinion — a seller who has handled the piece can answer immediately, and one who has not, cannot.
Photograph it before you open it
The state of an item on arrival is what disputes turn on, and the person who can show a sealed parcel and then its contents is in a far stronger position than the person describing it from memory. Twenty seconds, on any platform.
Where this stops
These are second-hand pieces and they have histories. The grade tells you what that history left behind; it does not make a worn piece new, and we would rather describe the wear than photograph around it.
