Alternatives
A eBay alternative for buyers who want the condition description to be true.
Every piece on juunam is one of one, photographed individually, with a published condition grade, materials and dimensions — not a stock photo and a dropdown. If it does not match when it arrives, you have 14 days from confirmed delivery to send it back for any reason, and return postage inside the EU is covered. You deal with juunam throughout, never with a previous owner.
What eBay buyers report
Drawn from published one- and two-star reviews. These are what reviewers say, not findings about the company.
- — condition descriptions that reviewers say did not match the item that arrived
- — disputes that buyers describe as being closed without an investigation they could follow
- — postage costs that reviewers found unclear until late in checkout
What juunam does instead
- — One-of-one pieces, each with its own photography
- — Published condition grade, materials and dimensions per piece
- — Flat shipping, stated up front
- — 14 days from confirmed delivery, for any reason
- — Nothing settles while a dispute is open
What to check, wherever you buy
Treat a stock photo as a warning
A second-hand item is by definition unique, so a listing illustrated with a catalogue image is telling you the seller has not photographed the actual piece. For one-of-one pieces that is the whole ball game: you cannot assess condition from a picture of a different object. Every piece here is photographed individually because there is no alternative that would be honest.
Condition words mean nothing without a grade behind them
Good, excellent and like new are not defined terms and different sellers use them to mean genuinely different things. What helps is a published grading scale plus the specifics — the marks, the wear, the measurements — so you can form your own view rather than take someone's adjective. Ask for the specifics if they are missing.
Work out the return path before you bid
Auctions and fixed-price listings often carry different return rights, and a return that requires you to pay international postage on a heavy item can cost more than the item is worth. Find out who pays before you commit, not after the parcel arrives.
When eBay is the better choice
eBay is an auction house and a global marketplace for essentially everything. juunam sells a small, curated rail of second-hand pieces. For breadth, or for bidding, eBay is the right tool.
